This wonderful property sits amid glorious rural Burgundy and near to the Canal de Bourgogne. L'Hirondelle has been restored with great authenticity, using traditional materials but with every modern comfort. It has exposed beams and stoneworkclose, oozing warmth, comfort and style.

On the ground floor:

The living and dining is open plan, with a wood burning stove in the impressive fireplace.

The kitchen is fully fitted and well equipped.

There is a double bedroom on this level with en suite.

Cloakroom too.

On the first floor:

There are three generous bedrooms and a bathroom with a corner spa bath and power shower.

There is another, separate WC.

Also upstairs, is a relaxation area with sofabeds. (The property can sleep up to 15 if required!)

The annex:

(In the annex, for more privacy or for larger groups, we also have a large independent family room. This room has a private bathroom and sitting area. It is located a few meters from the main gîte.)

Outside:

We have a very large, private terrace and a covered courtyard. There is an above ground pool and parking.

For fun, there's a small billiard table, ping pong and a swing.

Central heating is electric by heat pump and logs are supplied for the woodburner.

Shops are just two miles away at Venarey-les-Laumes. There are plenty of cultural attractions in the Auxois: museums, chateaux and medieval sites.

Enjoy beautiful walks or bike rides along the Burgundy Canal or in the Morvan Regional Natural Park. Or discover the nautical centre at Montbard and the Lac de Pont. Vineyards, of course, bedeck the area and visits are a must! We recommend Flavigny and Villaines-les-Prévôtes.
