Les Hiboux is located in the small hamlet of La Seurie, about a kilometre from Mouilleron en Pareds, where you can find a small supermarket and three bars, two with restaurants…but very few tourists. It’s a very unhurried and relaxed place, ideal for those who truly wish to get away from it all. The locals are friendly. It’s a fantastic place to chill out…
Les Hiboux was originally built around the 1850s as a two room farmer’s cottage with an upstairs grain store It now has three upstairs double bedrooms and a bathroom and a large downstairsopen plan living area. It’s very roomy and comfortable.
The lounge has a large sofa, two armchairs and a futon. It has a TV with Freesat UK and a DVD player. There are books for you to enjoy and a desk with chair for working with a laptop. A log burner is installed for cosy winter evenings.

The dining room has patio door access to the terrace. It has a wooden table with six chairs. The room has dimmable down-lighters in the ceiling and wall lights.
Cloakroom, Shower Room & Boiler Room
From the kitchen there is a hallway to the WC cloakroom. The following door leads to the shower room which houses a large walk in shower and a white vanity unit with sink, mirror and storage.
At the end of the hall is the boiler room. The combi-boiler provides instantaneous hot water and runs the central heating in the winter. Also in the boiler room is the washing machine, vacuum cleaner and cleaning and gardening equipment.
Upstairs consist of three double bedrooms and a bathroom with double sink, corner bath and heated towel rail. All rooms are wooden floor with roof beams visible adding to the character of the upstairs. The hall is decorated with white walls and ceilings. All rooms have radiator central heating.
The Master Bedroom is decorated in Natural Calico and like the other rooms has exposed beams. The black metal framed double bed is flanked by two bedside tables. The room has a matching colonial style chest of draws and wardrobe. It also has a built in cupboard, with rustic style door and door furniture.
The Twin Room is next to the Master Bedroom it has Willow coloured walls with a white ceiling and exposed beams. It is equipped simply with a pine wardrobe and chest of draws.
The Double Room is located next to the bathroom. Its simply equipped with a pine double bed, bedside tables and chest of draws. Its decorated in Natural Wicker with a white ceiling and exposed beams.
The Bathroom has a wc, corner bath and double sink vanity unit with mirror, storage and down lighters. The bathroom is also fitted with spot lights and has a Velux window.
There is a tall heated towel rail. The bath is fitted with a shower head, but is not a shower over bath.
The Cottage has a terrace where we tend to have breakfast and barbeques in the evenings.
The grassed area above the Cottage is about the size of a football pitch with meadow grass.
